Job Application – Painting Assistant

I am looking to employ a Painting Assistant to support me in the studio.

The role:

🗓️ Days: 4/5 days per week

⏰ Hours: 10am - 6pm (hours are flexible)

💰 Salary: £24k pro rata

TO START: 1st February 2023

A typical day in the studio looks like:

Starting at 10am, playing music on Spotify or listening to Podcasts whilst working in the studio. Lunch at 1pm at Leather Lane food market, which has a wide variety of options for every palette. Late afternoon Pret coffee runs and cigarette breaks. Lots of painting and activity!

Required Skills & Experience:

Photo-realist painting (important*);
Colour mixing (important*);
Stretching large, pre-primed canvas (important*);
General personal and studio assisting, cleaning brushes etc. (important*);
Experience with Photoshop (confident level).

Desirable Skills:

Using an airgun (preferable but not essential);
Preferably London based.

Careful and thorough
